The Robert Trent Jones Sr. Masterpiece opened in 1987 with the
highest slope rating in Michigan. The course has earned a reputation as
a challenging course that is as much fun to look at as it is to play.
Golf Digest named the Jones course 27th on a list of the top 75 resort
courses in America. The course features dramatic elevation changes, a
wide diversity of design and breathtaking views of the Pigeon River
Valley.
The famed Par 3 sixth is the signature hole. The view from that tee
inspired Jones to coin the name "Treetops".
Treetops special features distinguish it as one of Michigan's finest four-season resorts. Perched high over the Pigeon River Valley, this modern Alpine gateway offers an incomparable view of one of northern lower Michigan's most stunning landscapes - an undulating terrain with thick stands of hardwoods and pines.
